Face Painting 

The Sycamore Corps do several face painting events all around the community. Generally, they will serve the community at First Wednesday in Wintersville and First Friday in Steubenville. Many Churches and city events call on the Sycamore Corps to help in the celebration.

First Friday 

The Sycamore Corps occupy a tent on First Friday on 4th St. They do face painting as their community service to many children each time. They also make lemonade and iced tea to share with the community. The community enjoys this service and lines of children come and get their face painted as well as to have something to drink. Upwards of 50 children have their face painted at each event.

First Wednesday 

The Sycamore Corps is new to First Wednesday and occupy a tent on the main street by the church. They do face painting as their community service to many children each time. The community enjoys this service and lines of children come and get their face painted. Upwards of 30 children have their face painted at each event.

Cancer Dietary Initiate ​

The Sycamore Corps volunteer to help out the Cancer Dietary Initiative with their food distribution to those who are economically challenged while they are also suffering from cancer.

Cooking Class ​

The Sycamore Corps are taught life skills in how to cook on multiple days culminating with a family style meal on Sundays. All meals are made exclusively by the students with recipes chosen from interest and practical ingredients that would be found at their own homes. The class is taught by Ms. Katie who is professionally experienced in baking and cooking, complete with a ServSafe certification.

Soup Kitchen

The Sycamore Corps helps the Table of Hope Soup Kitchen on Mondays to serve food to those in need in Weirton, WV.

Art Class 

The Sycamore Corps attend lessons in art to build on and improve their existing art skills. This class is taught by Ms. Kelly who is an accomplished, awarded, and naturally talented international artist.

Sewing Class 

The Sycamore Corps has lessons in life skills that include handmade projects that are on a small scale to teach the basics of sewing. The class is taught by Ms. Riley who is an experienced sewing entheusiast.

Carpentry ​

The Sycamore Corps work with a few carpenters to understand woodworking basics and to build projects that help the community. They have already built picnic tables and benches. Carpentry is also part of the entrepreneurial aspirations for the group.

Faith Ranch ​

The Sycamore Corps work with Ms. Cindy at Faith Ranch to help with the duties of taking care of the animals and helping with various events that take place. The  Sycamore Corps also help with different events that are held at the premises.

Special Events​

The Sycamore Corps helps with special events in the area, like with churches and businesses to support the community.
